Our information is general guidance
Our guides, checklists and directories are here to help, but they're general information, not veterinary, legal or professional advice. Every dog and situation is different: please talk to a veterinarian or the right professional about your specific case. We work hard to keep things accurate and up to date, but details like clinic hours or shelter policies can change, so please confirm before you go.
Emergencies
We're a small, volunteer-run rescue, not an emergency service or animal control agency. If an animal is hurt or in danger, contact an emergency vet or your local animal services right away. In Miami-Dade, call 311 or 305-468-5900.
Pawsome Pooches and other listings
Pawsome Pooches features community dogs to help them get seen. Many are not in our care: they're at shelters, with other rescues, or with families. Listing details come from shelters, rescues and the people who submit them, and we can't guarantee they're complete or accurate. Each adoption or foster is handled by whoever has the dog, under their own process and policies. Please meet the dog and ask your own questions before you commit.
What you send us
When you submit a dog, photos or a message, you confirm that the information is true to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share the photos. You give us permission to use, edit and publish what you submit about the dog (never your contact details) on this site and our social media to help the dog find a home. We may edit, decline or remove any submission or listing at any time.
Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts that support our rescue work, and are generally non-refundable. If you think a donation was made in error, email us and we'll do our best to help. We'll say clearly on our Donate page whether donations are tax-deductible.
Using the site fairly
Please don't misuse the site: no spam, false or harmful submissions, attempts to break or overload it, or scraping it for other purposes.
Our content
The text, logo, illustrations and design of this site belong to Bentley's Playhouse or are used with permission. You're welcome to share links to our pages and print our checklists and flyers for personal or rescue use. Please ask before reusing anything else.
Links to other sites
We link to shelters, rescues, clinics and other helpful sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
Limits on our responsibility
The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Bentley's Playhouse and its volunteers aren't liable for any loss or harm that comes from using the site or relying on its information, or from any adoption, foster or arrangement made through a listing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
